On July 29th, four of our members volunteered at Cordilleras Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center in Redwood City, CA. Cordilleras organized a project in which both the staff and volunteers worked together in transforming the enormous piles of donated clothes and accesories into a clean, fun, and stylish boutique for the clients. All the volunteers and staff members did such a great job and worked very hard, and afterwards we were all rewarded with the opportunity to make root beer floats for the clients! Thank you to all the Healthy Routes members who were a part of this special event!
Our Mission is to promote health equity and improve quality of life in the San Francisco Bay Area by providing hands-on support to community-based programs. We assist programs that work to ensure that Bay Area residents are provided with the opportunity to achieve optimal health, regardless of income, race, ethnicity, age, or education level.
