President and Founder: Jennifer Chuck

Jennifer C is Co-founder and serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Healthy Routes. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she received her B.S. in Microbiology with Genetic Engineering. Shortly thereafter, Jennifer pursued antiviral research in the biotechnology industry for six years: three years with Gilead Sciences, Inc. and three years with Cocrystal Discovery, Inc., a private startup that is now known as Cocrystal Pharma, Inc. Following her interest in medicine, Jennifer has also been at the Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford since 2006, where she continues to be an active volunteer in the Newborn Hearing Screening Program. From there, Jennifer saw that health and quality of life extend beyond clinical practice and joined the WGirls Bay Area, a philanthropy group serving underprivileged women and children, where she was a founding member and the 2010 Vice President of Communications and Public Relations. This subsequently inspired Jennifer to launch Healthy Routes alongside Katherine McDaniel as a way to gain a deeper understanding of the health needs within our communities and to promote health, wellness, and community engagement. Additionally, Jennifer worked at Stanford Children’s Health in the Performance Improvement department. She is attending the Special Masters Program in Physiology and Biophysics at Georgetown University and plans to attend medical school upon graduation. Jennifer is interested in pediatrics and infectious diseases and aspires to be a pediatrician.

Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Co-Founder: Katherine McDaniel

Katherine M is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Healthy Routes, as well as Co-founder. Following her graduation from Boston College, where she received a B.A. in History, Katherine spent four years as a management consultant with Deloitte Consulting. Although Katherine found her time in the private sector to be immensely satisfying, she returned to school in January of 2011 to pursue a lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. While preparing for application to medical school, she launched Healthy Routes Bay Area alongside Jennifer C. She is currently a medical student at the University of California, Irvine and aspires to practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist upon graduation.
