On October 12, 2013, Healthy Routes had the honor to participate in the Health Trust's Open Air Health Fair.  We interpreted for the community members receiving free health screenings, and volunteered with general event tasks for the Health Trust.  It was a highly educational and rewarding experience, and it was lots of fun!  Thanks again to all our HR volunteers that day!

Boutique Clothing Project at Cordilleras Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center (July 2013 Outreach Event)

On July 29th, four of our members volunteered at Cordilleras Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center in Redwood City, CA.  Cordilleras organized a project in which both the staff and volunteers worked together in transforming the enormous piles of donated clothes and accesories into a clean, fun, and stylish boutique for the clients.  All the volunteers and staff members did such a great job and worked very hard, and afterwards we were all rewarded with the opportunity to make root beer floats for the clients! Thank you to all the Healthy Routes members who were a part of this special event!
